Suresh Raja
Dr. Suresh S.S. Raja is an assistant professor and head of the Department of Microbiology, Government Arts and Science College (formerly Bharathidasan University Constituent College), affiliated with Bharathidasan University, Perambalur, India. He has been teaching Microbiology both at undergraduate and post-graduate levels for the last twenty-two years. He has published twenty-five research articles in national and international journals and has attended numerous seminars, symposia, and workshops. He has documented seroprevalence of leptospirosis among farming communities in three districts of Tamil Nadu, South India. Medical microbiology remains his field of specialization. He has supervised three student projects funded by the state science academy. He has organized several seminars and training workshops. He is a member of the board of studies of various colleges and one university. He had been a member of a university inspection committee for approving Microbiology courses at colleges. He has delivered special lectures at academic institutions and extension programmes and is a member of professional bodies and voluntary organizations.
