Irina Boiko

Dr. Irina Boiko is currently a Full Professor of Economics at The North-West Institute of Management at the Presidential Academy of National Economy and Public Administration. She is also Director of the Center for Regional and Innovation Policy. Previously she served as the head of the International Economic Department at the Saint Petersburg National Research University of Information Technologies, Mechanics and Optics and she was also the head of the Logistics and Quality Management Department at Saint Petersburg State University of Service and Economics. She was also Fulbright Scholar at the University of Chicago, a visiting professor at Portland State University (USA), a visiting professor at the Laurea University of Applied Science and Kemi-Tornio University of Applied Science (Finland), a visiting professor at the University Toulouse Le Mirail (France), and also at the Beijing Administrative College (China). She received her full doctor degree from Saint Petersburg State University of Service and Economics, her Ph.D. degree from Leningrad State University and her Diploma in Economics from Moscow State University. She has published around 120 scientific books and articles, related to innovation-driven development, regional economics, and economic crisis.
