Dr. Kojima is a professor at the Department of Aerospace Engineering, Tokyo Metropolitan University(TMU). He earned his B.E, M.E and Ph.D degrees from the Department of Aerospace and Astronautical Engineering of the University of Tokyo. His current research interests are: dynamics and control of space robots, optimization, soft-computing based control such as fuzzy control and neural network systems, and chaos control. He is a Member of the JSASS, a Member of the JSME, a Member of SICE, a Member of IEEE, a Senior Member of the AIAA, and a Member of RSJ. He is an Editorial Advisory Board of Open Aerospace Engineering Letters, and an Advisory Board of Scilab Toolbox Contest Japan. He is an Associate Editor of Inverse Problems in Science and Engineering.
