Ahmad Naqiyuddin Bakar is an Associate Professor at the Faculty of Administrative Science & Policy Studies, Universiti Teknologi MARA (UiTM) Malaysia. He is currently the Rector, UiTM Johor branch. Prior to this, he was the Head, Research & Publication Unit at the Malaysia Institute of Transport (MITRANS) after having been previously served as the Head of Institutional Research under the Strategic Planning and Information (CSPI) Centre, at the Office of the Deputy Vice-Chancellor (Research and Innovation) of UiTM. He is also Research Fellow at the Centre for Bio Diversity and Sustainable Development, UiTM. He graduated from the International Islamic University Malaysia (IIUM), received his MA in Public Management from University of Exeter, UK and obtained his Ph.D. in the field of ICT policy and governance at the University of Hull, UK. Much of his research work focused on public policy, sustainable community development & biodiversity, and human capital management.
