Eduardo Gomes

Dr. Eduardo Gomes obtained a Ph.D. in Geography from the University of Paris 1 Panthéon-Sorbonne, France and University of Lisbon (ULisboa). His latest research work focused on the design of modeling and collaborative simulations employed to analyze land use and land use cover changes. He was an invited lecturer at Beijing Forest University, Institut des Systèmes Complexes de Paris, Future Cities Laboratory and at the Complexity Institute, Singapore; University of Copenhagen, Denmark; Royal Melbourne Institute of Technology, Australia. Dr. Gomes is the recipient of several awards, such as the Portuguese National Geography Award for the best Ph.D. thesis, Best Scientific Article Award in Human Geography, and outstanding contributions in reviewing scientific journals. He is currently an assistant professor at the University of Lisbon.
