Selcuk Bas

Dr. Bas is a civil-structural engineer. He is also Associate Professor at the Department of Civil Engineering at Bartin University, Turkey. He received his Ph.D. and Master Degree in 2011 and 2017, respectively, from Structural and Earthquake Engineering Department of Istanbul Technical University (ITU). He continued his post-doctoral research study in structural engineering field at the University Central Florida USA. His main research areas are structural health monitoring (SHM) and structural identification of civil infrastructures, such as suspension bridges, performance-based structural assessment and analysis and design of reinforced concrete (RC) and steel structures. His h-index is 10 according to web of science and google-scholar in the field of structural engineering. He published various SCI/E papers, book chapters and conference papers in the pioneering journals. He is the board member of seismic performance assessment of building structures, Western Black Sea Region, Ministry of Environment, Urbanization and Climate Change of Turkey; IABMAS Turkey Group (The International Association for Bridge Maintenance and Safety-IABMAS); Affiliate Member, American Society of Civil Engineers-ASCE; International Association for Life-Cycle Civil Engineering (IALCCE); Turkish Earthquake Foundation - Earthquake Engineering Committee; Earthquake Engineering Association of Turkey and International Association for Bridge and Structural Engineering-TKIC.
