Dr. Zafar Hayat Khan is an agronomist and is currently working as an Associate Professor at the department of Agriculture, Abdul Wali Khan University Mardan, Pakistan. After completing his doctorate in 2011, he joined the university as an Assistant Professor in the Department of Agronomy. He has been teaching agricultural subjects to undergraduate students in the department. He is also supervising undergraduate students in their research and internships. His main focus is on research related to the best agronomic practices and modern technologies to grow productive crops. During his career he has done research on numerous aspects of crop growth, development and yield in major crops of North-West Pakistan such as wheat, maize, rice, sweet corn, and tobacco. Most of his scientific work is published in peer-reviewed journals of repute.
