Tien M. Nguyen

Dr. Tien Nguyen serves as an adjunct research professor in Mathematics at California State University, Fullerton (CSUF), where he is a visiting scholar and advisor at the Center of Computational and Applied Mathematics. He works full-time as a deputy chief architect of an international program at The Aerospace Corporation, California. His previous roles at the corporation include associate director, interim direction, and principal technical staff. He was with Raytheon serving as Program-Area Chief Engineer in Advanced Concept Technology and retired as an engineering fellow in 2014. He also served as a NASA delegate to the international Consultative Committee for Space Data Systems (CCSDS), and many of his works were adopted as CCSDS standards. He received his Ph.D. in Applied Mathematics from Claremont Graduate University, California. He is an expert in advanced mathematical modeling of a complex system of systems.
