Velmani Ramasamy

Dr. Velmani Ramasamy obtained his B.E. degree in Electronics and Communication Engineering from Anna University, Chennai, India, in 2006. He received his M.E. degree in Network Engineering from Anna University, Coimbatore, India, in 2009, and with faculty from 2009 to 2015. He awarded the Ph.D. degree in the Faculty of Information and Communication Engineering from Anna University, Chennai, India, in 2016. He was working as a Senior Assistant Professor in ECE Department, MITS Madanapalli, from August 2015 to September 2016. Currently, he is working as an Assistant Professor in Communication Engineering, Dept. of Electrical and Computer Engineering, Woldia University, Woldia, Ethiopia, from October 2016 to till date. He is having 10 years rich experience in teaching and research. He has published 37 research articles in International Journals and National/International Conference Proceedings. He is serving as an Editorial Board Member and Reviewer for 21 reputed international journals (like IEEE, Elsevier, and Springer, etc.) and reviewed more than 70 articles. His project team won \Motorola Scholarship Award 2016\ for the best students project titled \Blind Vision\. He acted as a session chairperson for more than 10 national and international level conferences and symposiums. He is a member of IEEE and IAENG and, an elected fellow in member in FISECE and FISEEE. He developed 5 novel protocol in the field of Wireless Sensor Networks and published his research article in IEEE (Sensors Journal) and Hindawi (ISRN Sensor Networks), etc. In both articles, VELCT and CIDT protocols are referred by more the 5000 researchers around the world, and VELCT protocol is hot listed as one of the top 50 articles in IEEE Sensors journal from January 2015 to November 2016. He is acting as an editor in \Mobile Wireless Sensor Networks\ Wikipedia page. Under his guidance, 12 Undergraduate and 42 Postgraduate students successfully completed their project for fulfilling the B.E/B.Tech/M.E/M.Tech course in various fields. Currently, he also the active reviewer in \IEEE Sensors Journal and IEEE Internet of Things Journal\ in Wireless Sensor Networks and IoT area.
