Siew Kooi Ong
Associate Professor Dr Ong Siew Kooi graduated with Doctorate in Polymer Technology from Universiti Sains Malaysia (USM). After some years of industrial experience, she joined Universiti Kuala Lumpur (UniKL) in 2009 as a senior lecturer in Polymer Engineering Technology. She is currently working on chemically modified filler in natural rubber based nanocomposite and chemical modification of deproteinized natural rubber latex. She was the Head of Section for the Section of Polymer Engineering Technology and the Head of Section of Quality Assurance in 2011 and 2013, respectively. She had published several conference proceedings and journal articles and also co-authored 3 book chapters on rubbers. She had peer reviewed more than 30 articles and as research grants evaluator and panel assessor of Malaysia Qualifications Agency (MQA). At the national level, Dr. Ong is an active member of the national committee of ISC N Rubber and Rubber Products and also a committee member of Plastics and Rubber Institute of Malaysia (PRIM).
