Bhaskar Biswas

Dr. Bhaskar Biswas, Assistant Professor & Head, Department of Chemistry, Raghunathpur College, Purulia is an Inorganic Chemist with a sound experience in synthetic coordination chemistry comprising synthesis of ligands coordination compounds, investigation of catalytic activities with different metal complexes, supramolecular aspects of coordination molecules and biological modelling of metello-enzymes & metallo-proteins including investigation of biological properties. He has an important contribution to the development of molecular library associated with rich physico-chemical properties of metal complexes. He deposited ~30 new molecules in Cambridge Crystallographic Data Centre (CCDC), UK and published more than 43 research articles of international repute. He reviewed several research articles under the renowned international publishing house name Wiley, Elsevier, Taylor & Francis etc. He edited one book at national level. He received many research projects from the Government funding agencies namely DST (SERB) and UGC. He is a life member of various academic bodies. At present Dr. Biswas is guiding 04 doctoral scholars on various aspects of Inorganic Chemistry and 01 scholar has submitted his PhD thesis under his supervision. He has organized two national level Lecture workshops as a coordinator and two state level seminar programs as an organizing secretary.
