Elva Ramos-Monge

I have a PhD in business administration and management from the Universitat Politècnica de Catalunya (UPC, Barcelona, Spain) focused on the study and implementation of actions that lead to social responsibility in organizations such as universities. During my PhD I developed strong critical thinking, writing abilities and research experience. In this period, I had the opportunity of working for the UNESCO Chair of Higher Education Management (CUDU) carrying out activities mainly related to research topics of high interest for the CUDU such as university social responsibility (USR), strategic management and evaluation of public policies. Likewise, I worked as co-manager of the Research Group in University Management (GRDU) of the UPC, where I have published journal papers and book chapters, and I have participated in international conferences. Also, as part of my PhD thesis, I gained experience in working with university stakeholders, such as academic authorities, in order to develop a theoretical framework of responsible actions in universities. As part of my MSc in business and economic studies focused to data analysis, my profile combines economics, data science, and social knowledge, giving me the confidence to implement innovative solutions to a more sustainable society.
