Manjunath Krishnappa

Krishnappa Manjunath received masters degree from the Sri Venkateshwara University, Tirupathi. He received Ph.D. from Jain University, India in Chemistry under the guidance of Prof. T. Ramakrishnappa in 2016. During his Ph.D., he was awarded a prestigious ‘CNPq-TWAS’ fellowship in 2014 for 1-year internship and worked with Prof. Jairton Dupont, FRS at Laboratory of Molecular Catalysis, UFRGS, Brazil. In 2016, he joined at International Centre for Materials Science, JNCASR, Bangalore where he is currently working as Research Associate with Bharat Ratna Prof. C. N. R. Rao, FRS. His research interests mainly focus on ‘Investigations on aliovalent anion substitution in inorganic materials and their applications for water splitting reactions to generate hydrogen’. He authored more than 30 papers, mainly concerning advanced functional materials and nanomaterials for photocatalysis.
