Alenka Pavko Čuden
Alenka Pavko Čuden holds HE in Textile Design, BSc and MSc in Textile Technology and a DSc in Textile Science from the University of Ljubljana, Faculty of Natural Sciences and Engineering. After working in the knitting industry for 7 years, first as head of the production unit and then as head of the research and development department, she moved to the Department of Textiles, Graphic Arts and Design at the University of Ljubljana in 1989. She is a full professor and lectures in the field of mechanical textile technology, new product development, interior textiles and textile and clothing tradition. Her main research interests are knitting processes and functionalization of knitted structures, synergy of textile technology and design, development of new textile products and textile and clothing tradition and heritage.
