Azanam Shah Hashim
Prof. Dato’ Dr Azanam Shah Hashim is currently attached with Universiti Kuala Lumpur (UniKL) as a Professor in Polymer Technology and also as a Deputy President (International, Industrial & Institutional Partnership). He obtained his Doctorate in Engineering from Kyoto Institute of Technology. In terms of R&D, his interest is mainly in elastomers, both natural and synthetic, covering various aspects of rubber science, technology and engineering. To date he had several publications in refereed journals and conference proceedings and had authored a book and three book chapters related to rubbers and natural rubber. He had been invited as a visiting professor by universities in Japan and Germany. His academic experience includes supervision of 20 Phd and Master students and appointment as assessor for journal publications and research grants application. He is a Fellow of the Plastics and Rubber Institute of Malaysia (FPRIM). For 2018, Prof. Azanam is the Chairman of Technical Committee for International Rubber Conference (IRC 2018) and also a Senior Research Fellow of the Rubber Research Center, Kyoto Institute of Technology.
