Maddalena Pedio

National Research Council Italy

Dr. Maddalena Pedio is a Senior Scientist at the IOM-CNR Italy. She is responsible for the coordination of the nanoStructures Inverse Photoemission and Excitation dynamic (SIPE) group including both in campus (electron and Inverse Photoemission Spectroscopies at the CNR-IOM of Perugia) and synchrotron radiation instrumentation as a Time-Resolved X-ray absorption end station in collaboration with BACH CNR-IOM Beamline (Elettra, Italy). The scientific activity of the group is divided into research lines including Surfaces and interfaces, C-based materials, functionalization of surfaces, nano-dimensional materials, organic semiconductors and dynamics and pump-probe experiments and their modelling, electro-optical properties of materials, development of instrumentation for Labs, Synchrotrons and new pulsed sources FEL. She is and has been responsible for several national and international projects. Dr. Pedio was responsible for the VUV-CNR beamline (1997-2001) and local-responsible (2001-2006) for the BEAR-INFM beamline at ELETTRA. She participated in the commissioning of the ID32 beamline of the ESRF (Grenoble, France). She also worked at the ALLADYN (Madison, USA), ADONE (Frascati, Italy) and BESSY (Berlin, Germany) Synchrotron radiation facilities.
