Xin Gao

Mr. Xin Gao was born and raised in Taizhou, Jiangsu, China. He received a bachelor (B.E) degree with distinctions in information engineering from Nanjing University of Aeronautics and Astronautics (NUAA), China in June 2008, a M.S.E.E. degree in electrical engineering from University of Minnesota-Twin Cities, Minneapolis in July 2011, a M.S. degree in electrical and computer engineering from the University of Arizona, Tucson in December 2016. He is working towards Ph.D. degree in Department of Electrical Engineering, at The University of Arizona, Tucson. His research interests mainly include medical imaging and virtual reality, image analysis algorithms on vehicle tracking and detection, motional object detection and data (image and video) recovery in intelligent transportation systems, modern biomedical signal processing and imaging devices, communications and coding, statistical signal processing, and dynamic / static mathematical fiscal modeling. From October 2007 to August 2009, Mr. Gao was a research assistant in Department of Electronic Engineering, NUAA. From January 2010 to April 2013, he served as teaching assistants for nine courses in Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering, University of Minnesota and in Department of Electrical Engineering, University of Arizona. From April 2013 to October 2016, he served as a graduate research assistant in Signal and Image Lab, Department of Electrical Engineering, the University of Arizona, Tucson. He served as volunteer and part-time internship for the Confucius Institute at the University of Arizona (CIUA), IT-Engineering student intern and a remote writer intern for the Borgen Project (Seattle) in 2017. Since January 2019, he joined Autonomous Computing Lab and now he is currently a graduate research assistant.
