Mr. Xin Gao is working towards Ph.D. degree in Department of Electrical Engineering, at The University of Arizona, Tucson. He received a bachelor\'s degree with distinctions in electrical engineering from Nanjing University of Aeronautics and Astronautics (NUAA), China in June 2008, a M.S.E.E. degree in electrical engineering from University of Minnesota-Twin Cities, Minneapolis in July 2011, a M.S. degree in electrical engineering from the University of Arizona, Tucson in December 2016. He was a Ph.D. candidate with All-but-dissertation status from Aug. 2013 to Oct. 2016. From October 2007 to August 2009, he was a research assistant in Department of Electronic Engineering, NUAA. From January 2010 to April 2013, he served as teaching assistants for nine courses in Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering, University of Minnesota and in Department of Electrical Engineering, University of Arizona. From April 2013 to October 2016, he served as a graduate research assistant in Signal and Image Lab, Department of Electrical Engineering, the University of Arizona, Tucson. He served as volunteer and part-time internship for the Confucius Institute at the University of Arizona (CIUA), IT-Engineering student intern and a remote writer intern for the Borgen Project (Seattle) in 2017. Since January 2019, he joined Autonomous Computing Lab and is currently a graduate research assistant. His research interests mainly include medical imaging and virtual reality, communications and coding, statistical signal processing, image analysis algorithms on vehicle tracking and detection, motional object detection and data (image and video) recovery in intelligent transportation systems, biomedical signal processing and imaging devices, and dynamic mathematical fiscal modeling.
