Noel Peter Tan

Dr. Noel Peter Bengzon Tan is an award-winning Research Scientist, Engineer & Academic with over seven years experience in the nanotechnology and advanced materials market-driven research to develop and commercialize new technologies. He received his BSc in Chemical Engineering at Xavier University – Ateneo de Cagayan (2001) Philippines, Masters in Chemical Engineering at Xiamen University (2010) China and PhD at The Hong Kong Polytechnic University in Applied Chemistry (2014) with inclusive studies at Helmholtz-Zentrum Berlin (HZB) für Materialien und Energie GmbH, Berlin, Germany. He has published book chapters and international peer-reviewed journals on the central theme towards green nanotechnologies focusing on both synthesis and applications. Dr. Tan has patents on self-healing concrete and time-temperature indicators (TTI). He is recently involved in the application of green nanotechnologies, especially in environmental nanoremediation. He is currently working under the Department of Science and Technology\'s \Balik Scientist Program\ of the Philippines, with Xavier University - Ateneo de Cagayan as host university. He mentors students and faculty on fundamentals of Nanoscience, Research and Applications, and develops postgraduate curriculum and projects on Environmental Nanotechnology.
