Rosaria Puglisi

Rosaria A. Puglisi received her MD (cum laude) in Physics in 1996 and the Ph.D. in Materials Science in 2000 at the University of Catania. During his doctorate she worked for a year with Prof. Atwater at the University of Caltech, Pasadena (Los Angeles). After the PhD she obtained two scholarships from STMicroelectronics and one from the INFM, and a post-doc position from the University of Catania. Since 2001 Rosaria is a researcher at CNR-IMM, where she developed the following activities: lithography of copolymers (since 2005); Molecular doping (2011); Fabrication and characterization of solar cells based on Si nanostructures (2012). She has held 6 invited talks at scientific international conferences and one at the University of Paderborn; collaborates with STMicroelectronics, Tyndall and with several Italian and foreign universities. She is also responsible for the Laboratory for Solar and the Laboratory for Copolymer Lithography; is or has been scientific responsible for several scholarships or research grants as well as co-tutor of 8 doctoral theses and 5 MD thesis; she is a scientific expert for the Italian Ministry of Economic Development MISE, the Italian Ministry of the MIUR University and VQR; has served in more than 30 evaluation commissions for the provision of scholarships, research grants and collaboration contracts. She is the author of more than 50 articles, two review articles, two book chapters and an international patent. She has organized symposia in scientific conferences, held several courses for postgraduate students, and is scientific director for a project of 40 hours of training for High School students (Progetto di Alternanza Scuola - Lavoro). From 2017 she is also responsible for the IMM for a project dedicated to the dissemination of scientific disciplines for girls, activities for which she was invited to present several seminars by various Italian schools and universities.
