Alexander Kharlamov

Dr. Kharlamov has 22 years of clinical experience in Cardiology (since 1996; a Board-certified cardiologist since 2010), 17 years of translational research in Nanomedicine and Biomedical Engineering (since 2001), and 11 years in Interventional Cardiology (a leader of the research group as an Assistant Professor since 2007) including imaging, vascular biology, RTD of medical devices (bioresorbable scaffolds and stents). He obtained his MD cum laude in 2005, Internship in Internal Medicine in 2007 and passed his C.Sc. doctoral/ graduate degree course in Cardiology (ABD) in 2011 from Ural Medical University (Russia). He was involved in research projects in the Netherlands (Radboud UMC, Nijmegen in translational cardiology; Erasmus MC, Rotterdam in interventional cardiology under Prof. Patrick Serruys) and had collaborations with U.S. and U.K. Universities. Dr. Kharlamov is the receiver of International Grants and Awards for his research activities.
