Limamanen Phom

Mr. Limamanen Phom has worked for 3 years as Research Fellow in the Department of Biotechnology (DBT) GOI, funded research project entitled, ‘Neuroprotective Effects of Natural Products with Antioxidant and Antiinflamatory Properties in Drosophila Model of Parkinson’s Disease’. He was awarded the International Travel Grant for Young Scientist by the Indian Council of Medical Research (ICMR) GOI, and has attended the presentation in ‘International Conference on Parkinson’s Disease and Movement Disorder’ held at Frankfurt, Germany. He is pursuing Ph.D under the supervision of Dr. Sarat Chandra Yenisetti, Associate Professor and Head of Drosophila Neurobiology Laboratory in Department of Zoology, Nagaland University (Central), Nagaland, India. His work is on Understanding Neurodegeneration and Rescuing Pathology Associated with Parkinson’s disease in Drosophila Model.
