Pavel Makarevich, MD has received his degree at Lomonosov Moscow State University in 2008. On graduation he remained within Moscow University and completed a 3-year PhD training program at the Faculty of Medicine Biochemistry Chair in 2011. In 2013 he successfully accomplished his specialization in Internal Medicine in 2008. Since 2011 he has been serving as a research fellow at Russian Cardiology Research and Production Center (Laboratory of Angiogenesis) and conducted studies in gene therapy of vascular and hereditary disorders, stem cell therapies and tissue engineering for regenerative medicine. He authored and co-authored circa 25 research articles and chapters and served as a Reviewer in Journal of Depression and Anxiety, Cell Biology International, Brain Disorders and Therapy and a number of national journals. He is an active member of the American Society of Gene and Cell therapy and has received honors and awards for abstracts, presentations and a number of scholarships from Russian national scientific societies and funds.
