José Gutiérrez-Fernández
José Gutiérrez-Fernández is Professor of Microbiology at the University of Granada and clinical Microbiologist at the Virgen de las Nieves Hospital in Granada (Spain). In the early years, his research focused on the serological diagnosis of infectious diseases and later on the study of the agents that produce infections in the genitourinary and intestinal tracts, with special attention to multi-resistant agents. He has had and still has collaborations with researchers from Sweden, Denmark, Egypt, Morocco, the USA, Ecuador, Ireland and Spain.
