Anca Corina Farcas
Anca C. Farcas is currently Postdoctoral Researcher and Assistant Professor at the Department of Food Science, University of Agricultural Sciences and Veterinary Medicine Cluj-Napoca. She is an active member of the Laboratory for Testing of Food Quality and Safety, having solid background in the field of food waste exploitation, extraction and analysis of bioactive compounds, development of new functional products, food authentication and quality control. She completed the PhD stage (2015) in the field of Biotechnologies, having as research theme “Research regarding the identification and exploitation of biologically active compounds from brewers\' spent grain by-product”. Also, she published more than 60 research articles and several book chapters, with over 4600 reads, currently working on a project that aims to develop an integrated system for the recovery of bioactive compounds from food waste.
