Paras Chawla was born in Uttar Pradesh, India in 15th Nov., 1979. He received B.Tech. (Honors) and M.Tech. degree from the Deptt. of Electronics and Comm. Engg. at Kurukshetra University and NIT, Kurukshetra in 2003 and 2008, respectively. He received Ph.D. degree from the Deptt. of Electronics and Comm. Engg. at Thapar University, Patiala. He is currently working as Professor in Department of Electronics and Comm. Engg. at Chandigarh Engineering college, Landran, Mohali (India). Further, he is also looking the research and development activities. Total twelve (12) M.Tech. dissertations of various fields of ECE guided successfully and five dissertations are in near to completion. He received the “Coventor Scholarship award” from Micro and Nanotechnology Commercialization Education Foundation (MANCEF), New Mexico-USA for his proposal titled “Performance & Analysis of RF Front Section of Mobile Terminal Using RF MEMS DC Contact Switches”. The award was given for selection of best paper in the category of RF MEMS. Under scholarship single annual CoventorWare DESIGNER and CoventorWare ANALYZER MEMS software license was awarded. The event was organized by MANCEF and Coventor and under the name of conference “Commercialization of Micro-Nano Systems Conference (COMS 2010)” held at Albuquerque, New Mexico-USA on 29th Aug-2nd Sep. 2010. He received “Tenderfoot Award” collaborated given by American Astronautical Society, American Institute of Aeronautics, NASA/Goddard Space Flight Centre, NASA/Jet Propulsion Laboratory & Naval Research Laboratory for “CanSat Competition-2015”, June 2015, Burkett, Texas, USA. His main research interest includes microstrip antennas, RF MEMS, RF front end mobile terminal, wireless communication, LTE, and 5G. He has published more than 45 papers in various National and International Journal/Conferences. Further, he filled two patents.
