Joao Zequi

Dr. Zequi graduated (Degree and Bachelor) in Biological Sciences from the State University of Londrina (1999). He earned his Master's in Agronomy from the State University of Londrina (2001) and Doctorate in Agronomy - Entomology from the same University (2005), with the thesis: Evaluation of formulations with Bacillus thuringiensis subsp. israelensis for the control of Culicidae (Diptera). He is a Professor III Degree ASI at Centro Universitário Filadélfia (2000 to 2013), where he worked on the disciplines of Zoology of lower and higher invertebrates, Animal Physiology, and Field Biology I and II. A Celetista Professor, Functional Framework: Assistant Professor, AS-A level, at Universidade Estadual de Londrina from 2003 to 2005 and 2012 to 2013 where he worked with disciplines of Entomology and Zoology for courses in Biological Sciences, Agronomy, and Zootechnics. He has experience in Zoology, with an emphasis on Entomology, working mainly on the following research topics: Culicidae, Biological Control and Dengue. Dr. Zequi was the coordinator of the Biological Sciences course at Centro Universitário Filadélfia Unifil from February 2003 to 2012; Coordinator of the laboratories in the basic area of Biology at the Centro Universitário Filadélfia de Londrina (2001 to 2013), Coordinator of the Audit, Management and Environmental Planning course (lato sensu) at Unifil (2007 to 2012), Associate Researcher - Standard I (Malaria and Dengue) at the National Institute for Research in the Amazon (INPA) between 2013 and 2015. He is currently a professor at the Department of Animal and Plant Biology and at the Graduate Program in Biological Sciences at the State University of Londrina, Paraná as well as a Master's and Doctoral advisor. He is the Coordinator of the research group "Biology, Ecology and Control of Culicidae (Diptera)", Editor of the Newsletter of the Entomological Society of Brazil (ISEB). Ad hoc evaluator of an undergraduate course by INEP/MEC.
