His research is focused on understanding the underlying genetic and molecular events of gene regulation, with a specific interest in the role of the androgen receptor and prostate cancer. His research program aims to harmonize the current state of basic science research and ongoing developments in the clinics, with an expressed interest in benefitting patient care. When considering the complexity of neoplasias such as prostate cancer, his studies have expanded have expanded on the usage of versatile high throughput tools such as genomics and proteomics to gain a wider understanding of disease mechanisms. Using this knowledge, the working group he is a part of aims to develop new therapeutic and diagnostic platforms, to better assist clinicians in providing optimal health care.
