Mario Manana

University of Cantabria Spain

Telecommunications Engineering degree and Ph.D. from the Universities of Alcalá de Henares (UAH) and Cantabria (First-class honours) (UC), Spain, in the Department of the Electrical and Energy Engineering, belonging to the Engineering Faculty. He has been involved in teaching activities related to PhD, Master and regular courses during the last 18 years. He has supervised more than 150 Grade and Master students as well as 3 PhD ones. He has also been general co-chair of the International Conference on Power Quality and Renewable Energies (ICREPQ’08) held in Santander. Furthermore, he has been member of the steering committees and technical program committees of more than 10 conferences. He is member of the editorial board of the International Journal of Renewable Energy Technology. From an institutional perspective he has been Head of the Electrical and Energy Engineering Department in the University of Cantabria from 2005-2012. He has also been Head of the Sustainability Office at UC from 2012 to 2016. Since 2016 he is Vice Chancellor of the University of Cantabria. From the perspective of commissions of trust he has been involved in the evaluation of different tracks in the Spanish Evaluation Boards (ANEP, AECID).
