Frank Mendoza
Frank Mendoza is a PhD in Chemical-Physics at the University of Puerto Rico, Rio Piedras Campus (2014). He received his MSc in Physics from University of Puerto Rico, Mayaguez Campus (2006). His research involves on the synthesis and technological applications of graphene and carbon nanocomposites. During his research was developed synthesis methods to grown carbon nanotubes conformally coated with ferroelectric and ferromagnetic oxides. Further he developed a novel method to growth Large-area bilayer graphene. He also studied the sulfur-doped diamond as a UV detector. Also he is a collaborator in different projects that help significant advances toward the integration of carbon nanocomposites with other materials, and its environmental, biomedical and electronic applications.
