Dengming Xiao

Dengming Xiao was born in Guangxi Province, China in 1953. He received a Ph.D. from the School of Electrical Engineering, Xi’an Jiaotong University, China, in 1994. Currently, he is a Professor in the Department of Electrical Engineering, at Shanghai Jiao Tong University, Shanghai, China. He has worked on gas insulation systems, electrical equipment online monitoring, and fault diagnosis for more than 20 years. His current focus is on environmentally friendly substitutes for the insulating medium SF6. He has presided over a number of projects supported by the Natural Science Foundation of China and has published more than 150 papers.
