Dr. John Mills is a Professor in the Psychology Department at the Indiana University of Pennsylvania. He served for 19 years in the Counseling Center at IUP, including three years as the Assistant Director and Director of Training in addition to seven years as the Center Director. He joined the department of Psychology in 2006. He is licensed as a Psychologist in Pennsylvania and New York State (formerly in Delaware). He is Board Certified in Counseling Psychology by the American Board of Professional Psychology (1994) and a Registrant with the National Register of Health Service Psychologists. He completed an M.Ed. in Counseling at the University of Delaware and his Ph.D. in Counseling Psychology at SUNY Buffalo. His current research considers the conceptualization and measurement of shame.
