Ignazio Dimino

Dr. Ignazio Dimino was born in Sciacca (AG), Italy, on May 24th, 1980. He graduated in 2004 with honors in Aeronautical Engineering at the University of Palermo. In 2008, he was visiting researcher at Center of Acoustics and Vibration of Penn State University, State College, (Pennsylvania) USA. He achieved his Ph.D. in Aeronautics at Imperial College of London (UK) in 2012. From 2013, he is project manager at CIRA in the field of Smart Technologies. In 2013-2015, he was project manager of the EU SARISTU project (Smart Aircraft Intelligent Structures 2012-2015) dealing with the design and testing of a Morphing Wing trailing edge, and responsible of the actuation and control systems, performance and safety. In 2014-2015, he was member of the Italian team engaged in the Italian/Canadian CRIAQ MDO-505 project supervising the design of a morphing wing aileron.
