Mohamed Samer

Dr. Mohamed Samer holds the position of Associate Professor at Cairo University, Egypt. He is recipient of The Privilege Medal of First Class (2017) issued by the President of Egypt. He is Laureate of the State Encouragement Award in Agricultural Sciences (2016), Egypt. He has been conferred the PhD degree by the University of Hohenheim, Germany. He has more than 80 publications, 40 thereof are published in international high impact journals. He has an h-index of 11 in Scopus, and h-index of 15 in Google Scholar. He attended more than 25 international conferences. He led 6 research projects, and he participated in several other projects. He is a member of 11 international scientific societies. He serves as reviewer for more than 30 journals, where he reviewed more than 100 research papers. He supervised several Ph.D. and M.Sc. students. His main research and teaching interest is Engineering in Biosystems, Energy and Environment.

Additionally, this book elucidates and illustrates the wastewater treatment plants in terms of plant sizing, plant layout, plant design, and plant location. Cutting-edge topics include wet air oxidation of aqueous wastes, biodegradation of nitroaromatic compounds, biological treatment of sanitary landfill leachate, bacterial strains for the bioremediation of olive mill wastewater, gelation of arabinoxylans from maize wastewater, and modeling wastewater evolution.
