Georgios Androutsopoulos completed his Degree in Medicine at the National and Kapodestrian University of Athens, in 1995. He received his Medical Specialization at the Department of Obstetrics - Gynaecology of the University of Patras, in 2006. He also completed his Doctorate in Medicine “Pregnancy complications in Greek women with inherited thrombophilia” in the same Department, in 2007. He started his clinical career as an Obstetrician - Gynaecologist at the General, Maternity & Pediatric Hospital of Athens “Mitera” on 1-8-2006 and served up until 20-1-2009. He became Consultant of Obstetrics and Gynaecology at the General Hospital of Amfissas on 23-1-2009 and served up until 3-1-2012. He started his academic career as a Lecturer and Consultant at the Department of Obstetrics - Gynecology of the University of Patras School of Medicine on 3-1-2012 and served up until 20-10-2014. Subsequently, he became Assistant Professor and Consultant on 20-10-2014 and Associate Professor and Consultant on 14-10-2022, at the same Department. He has held the same position until today. In 2016, he had a 12-month Honorary Clinical Research Fellowship in Gynaecological Oncology at the Northern Gynaecological Oncology Centre (NGOC) of Gateshead, in the United Kingdom. Currently, he is the Head of the Gynaecological Oncology Unit of the Department of Obstetrics - Gynecology. His research interests are mainly focused on Obstetrics - Gynaecology and Gynaecological Oncology. He is Editor / Associate Editor in 24 International Scientific Journals (not indexed in PubMed / Scopus), Editorial Board Member in 39 International Scientific Journals (not indexed in PubMed / Scopus), Reviewer in 36 International Scientific Journals (indexed in PubMed / Scopus), Reviewer in 83 International Scientific Journals (not indexed in PubMed / Scopus), Editor of 1 Scientific Book, Reviewer of 1 Scientific Book.
