Carlos III University of Madrid Spain

Abdulmajeed Al-Jumaily (Senior Member, IEEE) was born in Fallujah, Iraq. He received the B.Sc. degree (Hons.) in electronics and communication engineering in 2003, the M.Sc. degree in wireless communications engineering, and the Ph.D. degree in wireless communication and networks engineering from University Putra Malaysia (UPM) in 2014 and 2022, respectively. While working on his Ph.D. and master’s degrees, he was a research assistant with the WiPNET Research Centre, Department of Computer and Communication Systems Engineering, Faculty of Engineering, UPM. His work focuses on mobile and satellite communications. For his M.Sc. degree, he investigated the use of ku-band satellite transmission to serve communications on high-speed trains in Malaysia, whereas for the Ph.D. degree, he analysed measurement results and proposed mitigation techniques for 5G and fixed satellite service (FSS) co-existence at C-band based on machine learning. His research interests include wireless communications, mobile communications systems, satellite communications, radio propagation, link budget, WiFi, Bluetooth, signal processing, image processing, augmented reality, digital communication, AI, and machine learning. He has research experience and hands-on experience conducting experimental applications and measurements in the mobile communications laboratory, which keeps him up to date with the latest developments in the field. He is also responsible for supervising research projects, including the Ph.D. and master’s theses, undergraduate projects, and developing successful educational programmes and courses that inspire and challenge students. Additionally, he regularly publishes research articles in peer-reviewed journals to share his findings with the scientific community. As a Ph.D. Research Fellow in the Erasmus + KA107 exchange, he works as a Ph.D. researcher at the University Charles III of Madrid, Spain. Since 2017, he has been a member of the International Association of Engineers (IAENG).
