Teodor Lucian Grigorie

Teodor Lucian Grigorie was born in 1975 in Craiova, Romania where he received the BsC and MsC in Aerospace Engineering from the Faculty of Electrical Engineering, University of Craiova, in 1998 and 1999, respectively. In 2006 he obtained the Ph.D. at the Faculty of Aerospace Engineering, Politehnica University of Bucharest in Aerospace Engineering field. From 1998 to 2005 he worked as an assistant professor at Avionics Division of University of Craiova, while from 2005 to 2009 he was a senior lecturer in inertial navigation systems at the same institution. Starting from 2009 until 2018 he was an associate professor at the Avionics Division of University of Craiova. Between May 2008 and February 2009 he was a postdoctoral fellow at the University of Quebec, Canada, institution with which collaboration was established for the purpose of research projects since 2002. Since October 2018 he is a First Degree Scientific Researcher at Military Technical Academy 'Ferdinand I” in Bucharest, Faculty of Aircraft and Military Vehicles, Center of Excellence in Self-Propelled Systems and Technologies for Defense and Security. Also, since October 2017 he is a Ph.D. supervisor at University Politehnica of Bucharest, Faculty of Aerospace Engineering. He authored or co-authored 4 books, 2 laboratory handbooks, 6 books chapters and more than 200 papers in journals and conference proceedings. His research activities concern aerospace navigation systems, miniaturized inertial sensors, avionics equipment and systems, automatic control systems, electric actuation systems (including smart material actuators) and morphing aircraft structures.
