Dr. Luis Rafael Moscote-Salazar earned his MD in Universidad Libre de Barranquilla, Colombia and his degree in neurosurgery from Universidad de Cartagena at Cartagena de Indias, Colombia. He Spent one year at the Cajal Institute in Madrid, Spain as a fellow researcher (2001). He is trained in critical medicine and was in charge of the critical patient unit of the University Clinic of Puerto Montt, in southern Chile, South America. He is the author of the several books in Spanish and English, Neuroemergencias (2012), Neurocirugia practica (2012), Fluidoterapia en Neurotrauma (2015), Trauma craneoencefalico (2015) and is a member of RED LATINO, Latin American Trauma & Intensive Neuro-Care Organization and Colombian association of Neurosurgery.
