Neil Lagali
Neil S. Lagali, PhD, obtained his doctorate in 2000 from the University of Alberta, Canada. After postdoctoral work in The Netherlands and working in the telecommunications industry in Canada and USA, he returned to academia. As a research associate at the University of Ottawa Eye Institute in Canada, he applied confocal microscopy methods to pre-clinical models of corneal transplantation. In 2007, he moved to Sweden to expand the research to laser-scanning confocal microscopy for preclinical and clinical applications. His interests include clinical in vivo imaging of corneal disease, dystrophy, and surgical intervention, corneal surgery models, angiogenesis, and quantitative methods. He is currently docent and senior researcher at the Institute of Clinical and Experimental Medicine, Department of Ophthalmology, Linköping University, Sweden.
