Henry Liu, MD, MS, FASA, is a Professor of Anesthesiology & Perioperative Medicine at Penn State University College of Medicine and Milton S. Hershey Medical Center. He also served as the Vice Chairman for Research & Scholarly Activities of Drexel University College of Medicine. Dr. Liu is a Board-certified, fellowship-trained anesthesiologist. He has over 100 peer-reviewed publications and book chapters. He also edited 3 books and published 70 book chapters. He serves in more than 6 Editorial boards of medical journals, and serves as reviewer for more than 20 journals. Dr. Liu also served as the Director of Cardiothoracic and Vascular Anesthesia at Tulane University Medical Center from 2009 to 2015. Dr. Liu served as the President of Chinese American Society of Anesthesiology (CASA) and committee member of Society of Cardiovascular Anesthesiology (SCA) and American Society of Anesthesiologists (ASA). Dr. Liu’s research interests include Anaphylactic reaction and pharmacological management, cardiomyocytes and cardiovascular physiology, myocardial protection and cerebral protection in cardiovascular surgery. Dr. Liu is also a promotional speaker for several pharmaceutical companies.
