Milos Janecek

Miloš Janeček is a professor and researcher at the Charles University in Prague, Czech Republic. His expertize includes transmission and scanning electron microscopy and electron diffraction and analytical techniques of microstructure investigation and mechanical properties of light metals and alloys. He was a visiting research fellow at the University of Manitoba in Winnipeg, Canada, and at the INP Grenoble, France, and a visiting professor at the Technical University in Clausthal, Germany. He has published more than 130 scientific papers in referred journals and about 50 conference papers and 2 book chapters. He graduated and obtained his PhD degree at the Charles University in Prague. Currently he is the head of the Department of Physics of Materials at the Faculty of Mathematics and Physics, Charles University in Prague. His current scientific interests include investigation of microstructure, mechanical and physical properties of ultrafine-grained materials processed by severe plastic deformation, and phase transformations in metastable Ti alloys. He is the member of the Editorial Board of Materials Science and Engineering and the TMS Ti International Committee.
