Susana Araújo

Dr. Susana Araújo was awarded with her PhD degree in Biology (2007) at the Instituto de Tecnologia Química e Biológica da Universidade Nova de Lisboa (ITQB NOVA), Portugal. Presently, she is a post-doctoral researcher at Plant Cell Biotechnology Laboratory of ITQB NOVA and Plant Biotechnology Laboratory of the University of Pavia, Italy. Her research aims to understand the molecular mechanisms underlying abiotic stress resistance in legumes, with a recent focus on seed development and vigor. She coauthored 27 manuscripts in peer-reviewed international journals. Since February 2015, she belongs to the editorial board of the Frontiers in Plant Science as associate editor of the Crop Science and Horticulture section.Dr. Alma Balestrazzi
