I graduated in physics from the Universidade Federal de Minas Gerais (UFMG) in 1985. In 1990 and 1991, I worked as a scholarship from CNPq in the project: \Physical Methods of Analysis of Works of Art\ at the Center for Conservation and Restoration of Works of Art (CECOR), UFMG. In 1995, I obtained a Master of Science in Nuclear Techniques Department in Nuclear Engineering from UFMG in 2001 and a doctorate in chemistry from the UFMG and Freie Universitat Berlin / Germany. Working as a research associate at the National Nuclear Energy Commission (CNEN) in the Development of Nuclear Technology (CDTN) since 2001. Since then I have devoted myself to search for production of radioisotopes for medical use, study materials and neutron activation analysis and even food irradiation and detection of irradiated foods. I conducted post-doctoral SCK.CEN in 2008 (Belgium) and from March of 2011 m 2 of CNPq productivity scholarship in Industrial and Technological Development
