Marcello Di Risio
Marcello Di Risio is a civil engineer cum Laude (University of L’Aquila) with a PhD in Science of Civil Engineering (University of “Roma Tre”, title of PhD thesis “Landslide generated impulsive waves: generation, propagation, and interaction with plane slope - An experimental and analytical study”). His experience includes a wide research activity on experimental modeling including (a) generation, propagation and interaction with structures of tsunami waves, (b) beach morphodynamics, (c) wave energy converters, (d) coastal and (e) hydraulic structures. He has also analytical skills on river flow and landslide generated waves as well as on the development of numerical models. At the moment, he works as an Associate Professor at the University of L’Aquila (Italy) where he is a leader of the research group of Environmental and Maritime Hydraulics Laboratory (LIam).
