Diego José Subercaseaux Ugarte. Chilean. Agronomist of the Faculty of Agronomy and Forest Engineering at Pontifical Catholic University of Chile, and Master of Science in Natural Resources at that university. Has worked as professor at Department of Agrarian Management at University of Santiago of Chile; as professor and academic coordinator of the program of Agroecology and Rural Sustainable Development at the same university; as professor at Institute of Environment (IDMA, Chile); and as invited professor and collaborator of different courses at Pontifical Catholic University of Chile. Part of the Laboratory of Ecosystems in the Faculty of Agronomy and Forest Engineering at Pontifical Catholic University of Chile, and researcher and consultant on sustainability and natural resources. Has worked in studies of environmental monitoring, environmental management, diffusion and public opinion about Agroecology, between others. His research lines have been oriented to the Cultural Landscape, Land Use Design and Planning, Landscape Ecology, Agroecology, Rurality and Natural Resources. Member of Latin-American Scientific Society of Agroecology (SOCLA), and participant of the Chilean chapter (SOCLA-Chile). He has published articles in academics and scientific journals. Currently is working on the development and publication of several articles, book’s chapters and books, academics and scientific, oriented towards themes in relevant and emerging fields in the context of sustainability.
