Kostogryzov Andrey(1957.05.16) – Honored Science Worker of the Russian Federation, Dr. of Technical Science, Professor, Corresponding Member of the Russian Academy of Rockets and Artillery Sciences, Russian Academy of Natural Sciences, Full Member of Russian Academy of Informatization in Education, Lenin Komsomol Prize Winner in the Field of Science and Engineering. He finished the Lomonosov Moscow State University, Faculty of Computational Mathematics and Cybernetics (1979). Now he is scientific leader of the Research Institute of Applied Mathematics and Certification (RIAMC) and the Center of Standardization, Design and Development for Information-Communication Technologies and Systems (“INFOSTANDARD”), the main researcher of Institute of Informatics Problems of the Russian Academy of Sciences, the leading researcher of the Central Research Institute of Defense of Russia, professor of the Gubkin Russian State University of Oil and Gas, expert council member of Russian Higher Attestation Committee, chairman of subcommittee “Information Security” of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of the Russian Federation and subcommittee “System and Software Engineering” of the National Russian Technical Committee “Information Technologies”, member of Interbranch Council of the Russian Union of Industrialists and Enterpreneurs (RUIE) for Technical Regulation, Standardization and Conformity Estimation in Information Technology, certified expert of Gosstandard of Russia. He headed the Russian delegation at meetings of working groups of ISO in Australia, Spain, Canada, Finland, France, is the participant of working out of international standards ISO/IEC 15288 «System engineering. System Life Cycle Processes», ISO/IEC TR 19760 «A Guide for Application ISO/IEC 15288», GOST R ISO/IEC 15288. He is the scientific leader of creating the domestic standard GOST RV 51987 “Information technology. Set of standards for automated system. The typical requirements and metrics for information systems operation quality. General provisions”, the author more than 150 scientific proceedings (including 13 monographies) and more than 100 mathematical models and dozens effective software tools complexes for analyzing quality and risks. www.mathmodels.net

This book is intended for systems analysts, designers, developers, users, experts, as well as those involved in quality, risk, safety and security management, and, of course, scientists and students. The various sets of original and traditional probabilistic models and interesting results of their applications to the research of different systems are presented. The models are understandable and applicable for solving system engineering problems: to optimize system requirements, compare different processes, rationale technical decisions, carry out tests, adjust technological parameters, and predict and analyze quality and risks. The engineering decisions, scientifically proven by the proposed models and software tools, can provide purposeful, essential improvement of quality and mitigation of risks, and reduce the expense of operating systems.
