Full Professor in the Faculty of Food and Chemical Technology of the Slovak University of Technology in Bratislava. He is the head of the Institute of Food and Nutrition Sciences, a lecturer on Food Microbiology, Food Quality and Hygiene, Predictive Microbiology, and Risk Assessment, and active in the training of professionals in Slovakia and abroad, recently in Kyrgyzstan, Latvia, Lithuania, and Myanmar. His advisory services were requested by the Slovakian food industry, certification bodies, and the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development of the Slovak Republic. Recent and ongoing research activity is focused on quantitative and predictive food microbiology and microbiological risk assessment aimed at current topics of food quality and safety. Delegate of Slovakia to the Network on Microbiological Risk Assessment by the European Food Safety Authority (EFSA); the leader of domestic scientific projects and expert in 5 international research and consulting projects. He has more than 100 referee articles, 6 books, and 5 book chapters.
