Burak Eksioglu
Dr Burak Eksioglu is currently an Associate Professor of Industrial and Systems Engineering at Mississippi State University. He received his PhD from the University of Florida, an MS degree from the University of Warwick, and a BS from Bogazici University. Before joining Mississippi State, Dr Eksioglu taught at Cleveland State University, and worked with MARSA KIS as an organization development specialist. His research efforts are focused on operations research, supply chain optimization, disaster management, heuristic optimization, logistics and transportation. His research has been funded by agencies such as the U.S. Department of Homeland Security, U.S. Department of Transportation, Mississippi Department of Transportation, and the U.S. Department of Agriculture. His research has been published in various journals, including IIE Transactions, Naval Research Logistics, Operations Research Letters, Computers and Operations Research, and Journal of Emergency Management. He is a member of Tau Beta Pi, ASEE, IIE, INFORMS, and POMS.
