David Rodeiro Pazos joined Universidade de Santiago de Compostela (Galicia/Spain) as an associate professor in 2009, after 7 years of working as a lecturer and researcher. His research interests are academic entrepreneurship, university spin-offs, technology transfer and venture capital. He has a coherent and balanced curriculum, demonstrating an intense involvement in academic research and knowledge transfer activities. In the first field, he is an author and co-author of multiple papers. He has about 65 international papers published in peer-reviewed journals, half of them included in journal citation reports (JCR). Some of these journals are: Technology in Society, Agribusiness, Journal of Behavioral and Experimental Economics, International Journal of Technology Management, Marine Policy, Technological Forecasting and Social Change, Business Strategy and the Environment, The Journal of Technology Transfer, European Journal of International Management, Socio-Economic Planning Sciences, Social Indicators Research, Technovation. He has also published several books and more than 30 chapters. In terms of conferences, he has participated in more than 70 international and 20 national conferences, in addition to 15 participations as guest speaker. In the second field, he has been involved in activities focused on knowledge transfer to private and public sectors, as well as to society in general. He has participated from 1996 to 2017 in 13 projects: 2 European, 1 national and 10 autonomic. In the 2 European projects he has also been a principal researcher. These projects have involved total funding captured of 654,089 EUR, impacting 15% in the USC (98,113 EUR). He has also participated in 3 regional network projects. These projects have involved total funding of 360,000 EUR, with a 15% impact on the USC (54,000 EUR). Furthermore, he has also participated in 20 contracts (art. 83 LOU) with companies or other non-profit institutions. In 1 contract he has also been the principal responsible. These contracts have involved total funding of 213,250 EUR, with a 15% impact on the USC (31,988 EUR). He has published 16 reports, mostly derived from contracts or technical assistance agreements. He has also published 40 chapters in reports and books. As a member of Committees of Experts and Advisors, he has been part of the group of the ICT Sectorial of the CRUE in charge of creating and elaborating the UNIVERSITIC reports for Spain (annual from 2007 to the present) and incorporating a similar report for Latin America in 2013 and 2014. Since 2010 he also belongs to the USC work team in the Global Entrepreneurship Monitor (GEM) Project and collaborates in the annual elaboration of the GEM Reports for Galicia. Finally, he acts as an evaluator of national and international scientific journals of relevance in the research field of Economics, Knowledge Transfer and Finance. He is currently the editor of the journal Yulök; journal of Academic Innovation and has carried out numerous tasks of dissemination in the media both of his transfer and research results, as well as of university culture through his participation in forums and conferences.
