Joanna Karpinska
Prof. Joanna Karpinska is working as an associate professor at Institute of Chemistry University of Bialystok. She is the head of the Environment Chemistry research group. Her doctorate in pharmaceutics was completed at the Medical Warsaw University, PL, in 1993. Afterwards, she conducted her research in the field of application of derivative spectrophotometry for improvements of selectivity of spectrophotometric assays. After the receipt of her habilitation (2006) she became interested in the problem of the presence of pharmaceutical residues and other organic compounds in water environments. She is the author or co-author of 70 original articles, 14 chapters published in monographs and many conferences’ communiqués and lectures as well as poster presentations.
