Rastislav Róka, M.Sc., Ph.D., is Associated Professor at the Institute of Multimedia Information and Communication Technologies, Faculty of Electrical Engineering and Information Technology, Slovak University of Technology in Bratislava since 2009. He received his M.Sc. and Ph.D. degrees in Telecommunications from the Slovak University of Technology, Bratislava, in 1995 and 2002. Since 1997, he has been working as a senior lecturer at this institute. He has authored and co-authored over 100 publications and supervised a great number of Bachelor, Master and Doctoral students. At present, his research activities and interests are focused on the signal transmission through optical transport, metropolitan and access networks by means of new WDM and TDM technologies using advanced techniques of the optical signal processing.
